My Story

A native of Alabama and a true Southern Belle, Patricia grew up in the small town called Browns, Alabama, where she lived with her grandmother, a true family matriarch. Patricia's mother had migrated to the northern United States to provide a better life for her mother, younger siblings, and children. It was her grandma’s hands that nurtured her desire to give. She watched as her grandmother tirelessly cared for neighbors and strangers in need. Never meeting a stranger, it was natural that she would foster dreams of building her community through giving.

It was her grandma’s hands that nurtured her desire to give.  She watched as her                                                                   grandmother tirelessly cared for neighbors and strangers in need. Never meeting a                                                                 stranger, it was natural that she would foster dreams of building her community                                                                       through giving.

Growing up with a giving spirit, yielded great harvests and some lessons that would open up opportunities to touch lives in very different ways.  Her kindness became a weakness that was followed with broken relationships, a teenage pregnancy, and victimization through domestic violence.  Proven to be stronger than her adversity and building on the strength and pride she so often saw in her grandmother, she turned her negative into a positive and became a mentor.

She attended Alabama State University, and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she continued her education at DeVry University.

A single mother of two sons, she would answer a calling in her community to help young men and their families who receive juvenile convictions but are sentenced to adult facilities.  Again, like her grandmother, she would fill a void, bridging the gaps between insecurity, loneliness, despair, and normalcy for so many who were lost.

Devoted to helping others through volunteerism and giving back to her community, she organized HOPE, Inc, a non-profit organization that gives to people who are in need of excelling. H.O.P.E offers restoration, love, and promise, building on tomorrow, by filling the needs of today.

A grandmother’s heart for her neighbors grew into a granddaughter’s love of giving.

Ms. Patricia Jackson is an auditor and customer support administrator for Philips Healthcare in Alpharetta, Georgia.  She has two sons, Chaunsey and Marquise.  And, enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, Nevaeh, Nakeya, and Bradyn.

We're always looking for new partnerships and opportunities for HOPE, Inc.
